All of the children in Form Three were treated to a Tudor morning this week. They had to investigate a range of artefacts, make accurate drawings of them and try to work out what they were used for during the Tudor period. They also had a go at doing Maths as Tudor children would have done and found out about some Tudor weapons. We can learn a lot about the past by looking at the artefacts left behind. What were some of the things you learned during the workshop?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/clips/zkhxpv4 What conclusions can you draw from the results? This week we have learned all about friction. Can you explain what friction is? What effects how much friction there is?
When might friction be useful? When might you want to reduce friction? When and why did the Tudor period begin? What were some of the important events in Tudor history? Can you remember the names of the Tudor kings and queens?

Use this website to learn your times tables. Post your high score for the different multiplication tables. How fast can you go in one minute? In our Science lesson today, we learnt all about weight and gravity. Can you explain what weight is? How is it measured? What is it measured in? Does weight change? How are weight and gravity linked?
The rainforest cafe was a huge success and was enjoyed by everyone. It gave every child the chance to experience running a real life cafe and most were exhausted but very happy by the end of the day. Well done to everyone. We managed to raise £377 which is enough money to protect three and three quarter acres of the rainforest!
Who is the person from history that you would most like to meet and talk to? Why? What would you like to ask?
