We are learning about the Ancient Egyptians in History. We have been learning about their daily life and had a go at creating our own tomb paintings.

Hi Form 3. Your Egyptian display is very interesting. What was the most interesting thing you learned about the Ancient Egyptians? We are learning about Pompeii and the volcanic disaster in our Natural Disasters topic. The interesting things about this was how the people were immediately encased in ash which hardened. Centuries later the empty spaces were filled with plaster and we can see a picture of daily life from what people were doing when they died. We love watching movies of volcanoes erupting as well.

The most interesting thing we learned was probably mummification and how they thought their heart was the centre of emotion and intelligence. It is funny that they thought the brain was nothing!

We put all our amazing Egyptian work on this display. We put the steps on how to mummify a dead pharaoh. Also we described the Daily life of the Egyptians in a fun way. You could draw pictures of the things that you did. It was amazing fun. Although it does take a lot of hard work to put into it. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🌟💫💥👓

I thought the mummification was really interesting but also very gruesome.
